Job interviews using face time.

Cor... I'm glad I aren't in the job market anymore.

I've been reading that job sites and agencies are starting to use an app or face time to immediately interview you the second you apply for a job.

Anyone done this?

'Sat bleary eyed on the bog 7am reading your phone...Oh that's a job I'd like
Press 'Apply' ... good morning mister Smith, why do you want this job?
'NNNNNnnnnnnnNNNNN.

Well I must say that was unpleasant to see Mr Smith but it did show an incredible determination that's rare these days so give your hands a good wash and come and see me because I think we could have something for you.

I've had to do an interview over video conference once becuase the HR department didn't seem to understand the concept of me in Manchester and the candidate in London. I don't think it was fair on either side and if the applicant had complained I think it would have been very hard not to agree. As it was there was a skills and experience gap that being in person wouldn't have fixed. As a hiring manager though I'm not sure I'd be keen on this method.
