Hiya, I run and write and perform in Wandsworth Sunday Roast 2-4pm, 2 hour sketch show on Wandsworth Radio, it features
sketches by myself and other writers, and am looking for new blood. Its a great showcase for either performer/writers or character comedy, you will credited on all media, though no money as i am not making any either, sorry. In the last year I have given myself the deadline of writing new material in between their cheesy playlist and very local news, aprox 8 new sketches a week and its been a good way of keeping
the mental comedy juices flowing. Most sketches are no more than 3 minutes and given the timeslot tend to be not too adult but as cheeky as you can get on a sunday. There's usually not theme to the shows, but do use the magic of radio as there is so many places you can go on audio. I am not going to say 'not funny' enough as humour is subjective, only the subject matter and language due timelot may an issue, sorry. But as a chance to have material broadcast live and meet similar minded writers ready to expose their works than wait to be one of 150 writers on newjack after having your work re-worked or just let your ideas sit gathering virtual dust in your mind or laptop or notepad in a drawer, be yourself and write for you. From Nov onwards I am very keen to have regular guest writers come in, perform and publicise their works. If this sounds fun, contact me. PS ok, what do I get out of this and why am i posting this, to be honest nice to ease off the constant writing for a bit and have fresh new ideas come in and meet new comedy types.
