Writing outlets/inspiration?

Hi, am looking for things/projects to get me writing... I'm living near Frankfurt half the time, being a Househusband, but it's only a small house. I can't seem to just sit down and write stuff unless there's an actual outlet for it with regular deadlines...
I like the Skit Comp in Critique, so small scale, not horribly competitive, reasons to write sketches, gags, small scale "bits", really short plays etc... Any ideas? Please... Otherwise it's back to weeding the window box again.

That's unlikely to happen unless you get a professional job as a writer.

And THAT's unlikely to happen to unless you get your amateur work in front of people who can give you a proper job.

And THAT's unlikely to happen unless you get off your arse (or, ironically, onto it in this case) and actually write something, then something else, then something else . . .

question is why would anyone want to read the words of someone who by their own admission isn't really interested?

It doesn't exactly say unputdownable? (Though I guess the only thing that says that is the warning on a super glue pack)

Too give the boring answer; News Revue and Treason Show have an insatiable demand for sketches. And whereas money isn't awesome, it is money if you get what I mean.

Thanks for your replies both... Think you've mistaken my enquiry for a "boo-hoo, why Aren't I getting anywhere?" Moan, where as my Amateur Arse has been a Professional Arse for about 20 years as a Performer performing stuff I've written and devised myself. ( I don't add that as a "f**k you, bitches" just a clarification). Thanks for the 2 suggestions though .

Though I was really asking where else are people sending their stuff? Generally speaking. There must be thousands of us beavering away.

I'm not really thinking about the need to earn money, the need to be a Professional, that's not always the motivating factor...

Erm no wasn't looking for "why haven't I got anywhere"

I meant that if you stick something in the open writer's slot (snigger)

in any site from Chortle to Critique, then generally no one's going to read you.

Most of the invites in LCW, BCG or Writer's Room mean at least people are reading it.

There's also Newsrevue.
