While being more celebrated for his political interviews, obviously a very important person in terms of early TV comedy too.

Is this all anyone has said?
I remember saying elsewhere that other people joked about his wealth and power-about having a car which "turned down the sun's rays on it" and "being the sort of person you wouldn't mind borrowing money from it."
