You have the bare bones of an idea but you need to squeeze some funny juice out of the idea orange.

I think he has got the order mixed up.

He's trying to mimic cartoon humour with a little cat causing much disarray but he should have had all his clothes being ripped off first (with his little SuperTed underpants fired in to the air), then walking out looking bedraggled and then the camera goes through the gate and we see it was just a sweet little kitten/cat/miaowmachine.
