I am hearing some sad news that comedy writer Vince Powell has passed away in a hospital in Surrey. A big loss as he wrote a number of classic sitcoms such as Nearest And Dearest, For The Love Of Ada, Bless This House and Mind Your Language to name but a few. He was still active as just recemntly he released his autobiography called From Rags To Gags.

RIP Vince Powell.

Shame. Never heard of him but shame. Did he write Bless This House - I don't remember seeing his name on the credits.

A comedy writing legend of the 1960s, 70s and 80s.
