Billy Russell

Hi folks...this is a first time for me. But I'm trying to source the transcript or a recording of the comedy sketch "On behalf of the Working Classes" by Billy Russell. I heard it as a kid back in the late 50s early 60s. My brother bought an EP45. As I recall, it was a recording of a live performance and went for about 10 minutes. It started with:
"Good evening, good evening my friends, tonight I'm speakin' to you on behalf of the working classes and by kind permission of the leader of the opposition - my old woman! That's all right, I didn't bring her with me tonight, the last time I took her out a copper stopped and said, 'here, have you reported this accident......" and it finished up with one of his sign off songs.
Can anyone guide me in the right direction?
Thanks...oz65

Have you tried googling: "On behalf of the Working Classes" "Billy Russell"? There seem to be a few results with links for how to buy an mp3 download or a CD of the sketch/song. Such as http://www.cduniverse.com/search/xx/music/pid/1908543/a/Robb+Wilton's+War.htm

It's number 7854 on here http://www.pavilionrecords.com/

CD is called Rob Wilton's War and features tracks by RW, Billy Russell and Frank Randall.

I've had the CD for three or four years now and as the website is still current, I presume they are still trading.

Good luck, it's a wonderful CD !

:P

Now that's strange . . I saw it on that site earlier. It's a 'Flapper' label release but I can't see it now.

But this might be easier:

Thanks, Kenneth & Oldrocker----have ordered today. Appreciate your guidance
