The Head Office used to be 55 King Street in Manchester, I worked across the road in 82. When the annoucement came everyone went mental in 55 and nicked loads of computers and stuff. When we were called over to 55 for the annoucement we all escorted by a security firm cos the place had been ransacked, broken glass and computers everywhere! People sold company cars and things.

In Birmingham I'm pretty sure they nicked the drinks machines.

We went for a few beers round Manchester afterwards, and you'd bump into the odd person with a computer they nicked.
