Quote: Billy Bunter @ 29th May 2025, 9:57 AMTherefore mentioning it in connection with the incident in question is clearly nonsense.
The incident in question was the police feeling they had to reveal the ethnicity of the suspect, for justified fear that there might be a repeat of the Southport Riots which, remember, happened just 20 miles away, when racist thugs set fire to asylum seekers in their hotel and stoned a mosque as well as dragging a black man out of his car.
They also attacked the police.
Linking both incidents is absolutely justified and not in the slightest nonsensical.
My point, originally, was what a sorry state of affairs this is,
Previously, if there was a terror attack we didn't have gangs of thugs seeking out anyone with a brown skin to wreak some sort of misguided revenge.
But the rise of the Far-Right and constant shit-stirring and race-baiting from Farage, Reform and GB News - in the time-old tactic of blaming 'others' for the world's woes - has raised the temperature to such a degree that the police have to take this into consideration.
But I imagine you knew that's what I meant.
Or at least I hope you did.
But I thought I'd clarify it for others who might not be keeping up.
