Hi guys, I would really love to be able to do to stand up at some point in the future but there is just one tiny point, I don't seem to have the confidence to get up on stage, can anyone help?

There really is no simple answer to this other than to get up on stage and try it. Once you've felt the sting of "failure" and realised that it's not as dreadful as you might ahev thought the nerves will start to dissipate.

Another thing that might help (it did for me anyway) is to do a stand-up course as a way to segue from being a complete novice to taking the stage. It'll get you up in front of friendly people on a weekly basis, which is a nice way to ease you into your first show.
