Hopefully humourous ditties

So yeah, I'm pretty nervous when it comes to showing off my funnies. I generally go by the mantra "if I still find something funny in the morning, it's funny", and that's gone for the couple of videos I'm going to post here. Please be gentle, it's my first time XD

"Song For Susie (A Love Song)" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3If7H95HdlA

"Doggers Like It Woof" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7kEU7FsNWzw

Anyone have any thoughts?

erm... I couldn't sit through more than a few minutes.

I could have sworn this part of the forum was for constructive criticism

It can be difficult to interpret silence in a Critique thread; sometimes if you push for a response someone will be courteous enough to clarify, though you may not necessarily appreciate the clarification.

I disliked it as much as I dislike other musical comedy. So probably not for me, sorry.

You could sort the audio levels out though, on the quality side. It sounds a bit tiny and has a lot of hiss.

Spot on.

That would involve technological knowledge. Not my area, I'm afraid. My friend filmed it and did the sound, it's the best he could do, really.

The lyrics didn't do much for me. Not enough gags, and not sure there were any at all in Woof. Best bit was the opening couplet to Susie but it went downhill from there into an old-hat area. Uke playing was fine.

Surely the word 'trousers' should come after 'arouses'. Trousers is the funny line. And a good one too.
Do you write and stick with the first thing you think of, or do re-writes? Sometimes the 7th or 8th re-write produces the killer lines.
I love the uke. Is it a baritone? I play soprano and tenor.
