The Moto genre was very popular around Eastern Europe in the early 1970's. Jake is probably the greatest living exponent of this kind of music in the world.
Indeed so revered is he that they actually have a statue of him in the middle of Bucharest. A legend.

It was probably just a cock-up on the part of the Soviets. Did you know that when Yuri Gagarin did his famous orbit of the earth all he had to eat was dog food because they'd sent him up in the wrong capsule?
Worse still Laika, Gagarin's dog, had to sit down to Egg and Chip's every night, and that ain't no fun for a German Shepherd.
