Cunk On Life

Finally got around to watching this. A f**kwitted viewer.

Creased up with laughter many times. Also as a Christian I also I found bits of it hilarious about God, creation and Holy Moses.

I try to work out how much the interviewees are told and also how many times she corpses - literally.

Frequently commenting on Our Souls.

Not for me, I can't stand Diane Morgan - no charisma, charm or 'funny bones', and her Philomena Cunk character is particularly shit IMO - just a one trick pony. That kind of interview was done much better by Sasha Baron Cohen as Ali G over 20 years ago.

Sorry to be so negative, but I'm probably in the minority on this one anyway, as it generally seems very popular.

I think she's brilliant.

Couldn't agree more, I think she is utter crap, and I blame it on "Charlie Brooker's Weekly Wipe" where she started out with that other VERY unfunny Barry Shitpeas.

Talk about a load of shit, and her name is so clever, you see because it sounds like ****, which is such a bloody hysterical pun

It is a bit one note - but got a few chuckles from me.

And the Norman Gunston character in Australia in the 70s who did it before anyone.

Her Mandy is a much better creation than this, for me, far subtler and less clunky and obvious. But I can see why some like this, and she has a living to make, ofcourse.

Not much difference to my mind.

I agree she has to make a living but the BBC lean over backwards for her and a few others by giving them 15 minute slot. And I suspect they did it not because its all they have but because they're not strong enough character/ story lines for the 28 minute minimum they demand from everyone else.
I could be wrong but she does seem very well connected with the Beeb.

Have you heard her trailers for Radcliffe and Maconie on 6 Music?

No

Well they're basically Mandy in her droney voice saying stupid things about the programmes. (No examples I'm afraid)

If I was the BBC, I'd be desperate to keep her on. She's clearly a major talent. Who is better?
I don't like Mandy much though, that said.

I like Mandy, such a sap with a soft side, not so keen on Cunk, Diane is one of the few female comedians who can make me lol, Sarah Milligan can be amusing when she's not talking about crapping in kettles.

I've tried, I really have! Liked her in Motherland and After Life, but I'm not a fan of this. Saw something where it was revealed the interviewees are told of the premise but not the questions.
