Once you believe something, there's no shifting a lefty.
You actively seek out the bad or what you presume to be bad, always ignoring any good or benefits.
You are preaching to the choir; nobody else takes any gorm.
I read the news today oh boy! Page 2,982
And people like you cheered when a criminal became President - a president who just spoilt Americas perfect credit rating for the first time in over one hundred years
How unbelievably dumb

Thanks, a perfect example was needed.
Yep exactly you are a perfect example of closed mindedness
You aren't sensible enough to admit you were wrong about how "funny" it would be if the most powerful man on earth was a senile, fraudulent old sex offender
These people who rely on medicaid can admit they were wrong - won't do them any good though....
"The Congressional Budget Office has estimated that the $715 billion Medicaid funding decrease in the reconciliation bill would result in 13.7 million Americans losing their healthcare coverage."
Oh...
The gift that keeps giving.
Quote: lofthouse @ 17th May 2025, 11:54 AMThe USA has had a perfect AAA credit rating with Moody's since 1917...
Not anymore
Gone
That's what happens when you elect a criminal who promises to make America great again
Perfect rating since 1917....
It took this brainless old doofus 5 months to f**k it
No, this action is not directly attributable to Donald Trump, no matter how much you might wish it to be true. There are three major ratings agencies: Standard and Poor, which downgraded their rating in 2011 (Obama era); Fitch Ratings downgraded in 2023 (Biden era), and now Moody's. Every president over the last 25 years has presided over a federal government that spent billions or trillions more than it brought in. The chickens are coming home to roost, and no single president or party is responsible.
P.S. Trump has been president for less than 4 months, not 5. He hasn't passed a budget yet, however his proposed 2026 budget includes large cuts to non-military discretionary spending. We'll see what Congress does with it...
From Moody's press release about yesterday's rating downgrade:
This one-notch downgrade on our 21-notch rating scale reflects the increase over more than a decade in government debt and interest payment ratios to levels that are significantly higher than similarly rated sovereigns.
Successive US administrations and Congress have failed to agree on measures to reverse the trend of large annual fiscal deficits and growing interest costs. We do not believe that material multi-year reductions in mandatory spending and deficits will result from current fiscal proposals under consideration.
...
The US retains exceptional credit strengths such as the size, resilience and dynamism of its economy and the role of the US dollar as global reserve currency. In addition, while recent months have been characterized by a degree of policy uncertainty, we expect that the US will continue its long history of very effective monetary policy led by an independent Federal Reserve. The stable outlook also takes into account institutional features, including the constitutional separation of powers among the three branches of government that contributes to policy effectiveness over time and is relatively insensitive to events over a short period. While these institutional arrangements can be tested at times, we expect them to remain strong and resilient.
What, let the facts get in the way of a good diatribe?

From Moody's press release about yesterday's rating downgrade:
You can't blame Biden
His administration had to clear up the mess the previous Trump government had made of your economy
Because like every other venture that gormless fool has been involved in - he ran it into the ground
Yes, Covid was to blame too - but that dickhead made the situation a million times worse than it needed to be
Now, even his own party are trying to stop his idiocy...
"The GOP-led House Budget Committee just voted to reject Trump's big budget bill -- an embarrassing setback for Republicans. Five conservative hardliners joined all Democrats in voting against the bill."
Quote: lofthouse @ 17th May 2025, 9:01 PMYou can't blame Biden
I didn't blame Biden. I blamed Biden and every other president for the last 25+ years. That includes Trump's first term, and it will include his second term if he runs a deficit.
Biden added an additional $4.7 trillion dollars in new debt during his 4 years in office. So yes, I will blame Biden for his part in damaging our credit rating, because he is as guilty as the rest. The figures don't lie.

The five Republicans who voted against the tax bill did so because they wanted even deeper cuts - including cuts to Medicaid, the government program that provides healthcare to poor Americans. Is that something you'd like to support?

Holy shit! That makes it even more utterly insane!
The Republican Party is a rancid cancer that will destroy itself and the lives of millions of Americans
And you will have the orange pussy grabber to thank for that
That will be the one and only worthwhile achievement in his entire life
Boris and Donald , flushing abhorrent right wing parties down the toilet where they belong

Ha ha!
Incidentally just watching Laura Kuensberg. The Labour politician (no idea his name) spoke about Peter Kyle. (Who?) Anyway I was only half listening and I thought he said Paedophile. Reminded me of that episode of the IT Crowd where he was at the airport yelling "I'm Peter File!"
