What are you watching on TV? Page 2,329

70's food rules btw. Never did try Brain's faggots though as the name of the brand put me and a lot of others off more than the product name, I recall. Another good product sadly affected by its naming, was (Birdseye) rissoles, but one I can say I did try many times and were sublime. (Please resurrect this Mr Birdseye.) Marketing wasn't as sophisticated an industry then as it is today I suppose.

Later I shall start watching snooker for two weeks. I have the glue ready. But no rissoles. ☹️

Channel 4 shows 4 episodes of Cheers every morning. They've just shown the last part ever which I don't think I'd ever seen before followed by the first one.

Watching early morning Countdown.

Pleased to see that Rachel's short dresses are not just confined to Cats Does Countdown.

Sapphire and Steel

Pet Shop Boys in Hyde Park about to start.

Is that the one with all those Michelin Men dancing?

Repeats of 2003 Parkinson on U, had Clint Eastwood on it when he said he was now 73, and I thought to myself "Good God, is he still alive?!"

And yes, he is now 95 - Bloody Hell!!

There was once a rumour in Hollywood that Stan Laurel was Clint Eastwoods biological dad

Joke - sorry Jock Cup Final.

The Final of "The Piano" on Channel 4 - the talent on display there was simply phenomenal

I've been watching the Drowning on Channel 5 starring Jill Halfpenny. During the ad breaks they show snippets of other series available to stream. She appears in 3 of them, and her husband in one of them is alongside her in this. Then there's Jo Joyner in about 3 more. The trouble is there are so many of them that it can get confusing. I think they sign these actors up for several at a time. (Have I posted this before Billy?)

Religiously watch the 1950s "Scotland Yard" series with Edgar Lustgarten on TPTV, as love seeing the fashions and especially the cars

Also, actors who were never seen again or became famous - the highlights being Harry H Corbett as a Police Inspector and Wilfrid Brambell as a well spoken, well dressed Police Pathologist...................not in the same episode unfortunately

Unlikely that I was ever going to post such an observation so you're fairly safe on that score. Apart from anything else I've never heard of the programme in question, let alone watched the "ad breaks".

Never did try Brian's faggots.

Thank you for an unintentional laugh.

I remember that... Around 1985, there was also a rumour that Ade Edmondson had died. It was a crappy version of the Macca legend.

I'm rewatching all episodes of Cracker, roughly 30 years old and superb.
