Just one query, that surprised me (so I had make sure with the text on), when Angela Ripon introduced Jo Brand as a comedienne, at which Jo didn't bat an eyelid.
I don't think it bothered her. She's pretty cool.
Is she not one then?

Yes, she is, but I've heard her before being quite vociferous when it came to male/female descriptions, so I am surprised she didn't pick Angela up on that.
I'm all for it, let's have comedians and comediennes, or say as I noticed this morning in some ballot that is going on Mayor and Mayoress - what the hell is wrong with that?
And as of yet, no one has explained to me why they are all now actors, BUT La-La land decided hypocritically to have Best Actress at things like the shit that is the Oscars

Didn't think much of the American comic Michelle Wolf on the latest episode. Whereas the journalist Tom Peck, clearly not a comedian, surprisingly had a few funny lines and got bigger laughs from the audience...

I don't think Americans are very funny on this in general.
I thought the Rippon episode very funny. She made a wonderful host and delivered her gags with aplomb.
Agree, I thought the whole thing was hysterical, with everyone being on form - OK, Americans wouldn't get all the in-jokes, but I think she held her own.
I didn't enjoy the episode featuring Sue Perkins as host very much, Don't mind her in other stuff but I thought she tried to be too cool and rather austere.
