How? - Well mainly because the Church told our Kings what to do and our people how to live for a thousand years or so, as you know. That and our whole social fabric being based on either a genuine reverence for God or real fear of him/her/them.

Easter on eggs - Proves my point that most church goers are too woolly to be bothered by it, while yes as I acknowledged, our right wing speakers are politicising Christianity for their own cause.

I'm guessing that wasn't in response to my post.

Easter isn't really about chocolate eggs though but painted hard boiled ones nd the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ which probably isn't taught at school nowadays.

I glad we agree on the seconfd point.
In terms of our "social fabric being based on either a genuine reverence for God or real fear of him/her/them" - there's nothing particularly Christian about that.
All the major religions have pretty much the same precepts.

And the eggs are more likely part of the general pre-Christian celebrations around the Spring Equinox - Ostera[/i being the pagan goddess most associated with it.

Or to do with eating eggs again after 40 days of Lent.

Which came first, the Christian or the Egg?

Okay then replace that with ...'is based on a genuine love of Jesus Christ and his teachings, especially pre Reformation (and a Church induced fear of God) to be historically precise about it, and you have a huge difference that many are still being killed over, despite Starmer and Charles trying to tell us to be nice to each other. 🤬🪖

So it's a bad thing?
We agree again!

Well it is for purists and theologians yes. The very reason there are different religions is because they believe in fundamentally different versions of God and won't accept the others who are still very much, in their eyes, rivals.

They have no intention of ever getting on with each other, as can still be seen quite vividly today. Starmer & Charles won't make a dent in the frosty relations, but just be dismissed as the woolly utopians they are.

Says the '"Christian" who preaches hate every day. Okay. 🤔

Everyday I speak out against criminals and rapists and racist scum bags

Everyday you stick up for them

You talk about moral pride , when you clear have no morals and decency otherwise you would criticise these people instead of making excuses for them and defending them

And it's clear to everyone the way you talk about Muslims you are racist

A cowardly racist

You skirt around the issue and try to deflect

But I see what a nasty hate filled person you really are - you're just too gutless to admit it

And yes I agree, religion is nuts, and scientifically baseless, but you try telling the zealots that. The zealots who still try to force their religious practices over our secular laws and cultural norms. We will never get rid of the major religions and that is why we must ensure ours, Christianity, Always take Precedence. Amen. Ahem.

And I say you're a hate filled obsessionist who knows f**k all about the Christian message of forgiveness and fellowship, and keep proving it with your personal insults. Cheers 🍺

Yep you don't even try to deny it

Thanks for confirming what I've said about your lack of morals and hatred of Muslims and your tolerance towards people who rape and murder and racially and sexually abuse innocent people

Cheers 🍻

'Truth Sounds Like Hate to Those Who Hate Truth'

Apr. 13, 2024:

Former President Donald Trump appeared Saturday night at a fairgrounds in Lehigh County, seeking to sell thousands of his enthusiastic supporters on 2024 as a must-win election.

Two days ago:

Mack Trucks will lay off between 250 and 350 workers at its Lehigh Valley Operations center outside Allentown over the next three months, due to economic uncertainty caused by U.S. tariffs, a company spokesperson said Thursday.

"Heavy-duty truck orders continue to be negatively affected by market uncertainty about freight rates and demand, possible regulatory changes, and the impact of tariffs," spokesperson Kimberly Pupillo said.

"Today we informed our employees that this unfortunately means we'll have to lay off 250-350 people at LVO over the next 90 days," Pupillo said. "We regret having to take this action, but we need to align production with reduced demand for our vehicles."

Union leaders announced the company had confirmed layoffs Thursday afternoon. The plant in Macungie employs around 3,050 workers.

"Due to the market being in decline, there will be a rate and line reduction. I have heard all the same rumors you guys have heard. This is the first time I have an official word from the company that there will be a layoff," United Auto Workers Local 677 shop chair Tim Hertzog said in a letter posted on the union's Facebook page Thursday.

State Rep. Josh Siegel (D-Lehigh) said the layoffs are "a clear signal of the dangerous economic instability being fueled by the Trump administration's chaotic tariff policies."

"The tariffs - erratic, broad and poorly targeted - are crushing core U.S. industries like trucking and manufacturing.

What happens when a bunch of gullable yahoos wearing stupid red baseball caps believe a criminal when he says he will make America great again?

This.

Oh.

Lol

"Yeap that's right Sir, I voted for Mr Trump, I did Sir yes sir, but now he done gawn n took ma job away from me! Ah dang it all! This shit ain't right, no sir! But who cares? Okay so I ain't got no job no more and I can't pay the mortgage or support my family- but we sure as hell beat them commie Libtards!! Woooohooooyeeeeaaahaaaa!! USA USA USA!!!"

Oh dear, it's spreading....

Volvo Group is preparing to lay off up to 800 employees at three plants in the United States in the coming months due to uncertainty about how Trump's tariff policy will affect demand. Volvo has notified employees that it will lay off 550 to 800 people

MAGA!!!!!! 🇺🇸

But only if they're of a particular political persuasion.

And incase anyone was still doubting the BBC was run by Lefties, their Bite Size teacher guides for kids describes Communism without mentioning dictatorships and mass killings of actual communist regimes, while describing Capitalism as exploitation of workers. Surprised they don't just stick a red flag on top of Broadcasting House. 🚩
