Hi, I am visiting a friend in the Putney area of London in a couple of weeks and I was wondering if anyone could suggest any comedy clubs? We are both students so anywhere that has student nights would be great. Thank you.
London Comedy Clubs?
There's a comedy club in Putney by the river called 'The Comedy Tree'. Never been, though, so I can't tell you if it's nice.
Your best bet is to search the listings on Chortle.
I have just discovered that, incredibly, Eugene Cheese and the Chuckle Club are still going. They are central now. I think they were in Balham or maybe Tooting when I went in the 1980s/1990s. Totally mad of course:
Check the listings for Battersea too. Easy to get to from Putney by overground train to Clapham Junction.

Late to the party but there's a tonne of new and really good comedy clubs popping up in London! You've got the classics like the comedy store, top secret comedy club and backyard comedy club, but then Big Belly (Formely vauxhall comedy club) bigbellycomedy.club could be a good one for south of the river. Angel comedy club for north of the river!
