Severance

It's not British and it's not comedy
But I'd be interested to hear if anyone has seen this new show and what they think of it

It's on my to do list.
Will report back, sir.

Tell us about it Steve. Is it on a pay per view channel?

Yes Apple TV I'm afraid

Couple of episodes in and enjoying it. Really interesting idea. :)

Had been meaning to watch it earlier, but I got distracted by David Attenborough's dinosaurs. You wait all year for something worth watching on Apple TV+ and something something London buses.

Yes that Attenborough thing is pretty good as well

I've finished Severance now, no spoilers but really enjoyed it
fascinating premise.

Finished it now. Excellent stuff. The last episode's a cracker.

Apparently it's been in development for years, so I'm really hoping that means the writer(s) have the whole story planned out and it's not going to become one of those US shows that eats itself because they try to make 65 seasons of it.

Slightly obsessed with the complex they used as the Lumon building in the show: https://tinyurl.com/2v86tf8u

Also hoping that we get some sort of closure with the goats at some point.

Yes it might be like the Polars bears in Lost never really explained properly

Fantastic recommendation - great concept.
Just did the lot in a week.
There better be a second season.
Gotta know about the goats!

Reminds mea little of Home - similar vibe.

It wasn't my recommendation, but I'll take it. :)

Second season in development, goat fans! And in even better news, apparently the creator does have a plan. Spiritually speaking. So I don't think we're getting Lindelof-ed.

There's an overall plan for the show. I have an end point in mind, and I intentionally didn't plan it season by season, because I wanted it to be flexible enough that we could get there in two seasons or six seasons. I want to allow us to be surprised by where the show goes. There's a sense of what Lumon is trying to do and the role that our main characters are going to play in that, and where it all will culminate. It's really exciting to think about taking the next step on that trip.

Also, in this era of streaming and impatience and the 'Skip Intro' feature, I'm a sucker for any show that still puts this much effort into their opening credits. Didn't skip 'em once: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NmS3m0OG-Ug

Oliver Latte is a great animator.
Good news about Season 2.

In a rather sad example of life imitating art, it appears that production of season 2 has been a complete shitshow.

Not holding out much hope for a satisfying resolution to the goat saga. :(

Oh dear.
