Cheesy, hapless hospital radio DJ Ivan Brackenbury, who has a habit of playing inappropriate songs, is given the chance to broadcast on Queen Elizabeth Hospital Radio (QEHR). He is assisted by hospital porter Stan, but hindered by Edwina, the evil hospital manager who is looking for an excuse to close down the radio station and replace it with a pay-per-view TV service.

Ivan's future as a hospital radio broadcaster hangs in the balance when he is locked in the studio with a pregnant patient who is about to give birth.

Our Review: This pilot follows on from Tom Binns' if.comedy award nominated Edinburgh routine and his previous spots on radio as Ivan (e.g. The Jason Byrne Show).

This was a fast-paced and very enjoyable pilot, as the highlights from Binns' previous material were packed in tightly with the new sitcom storyline. Deserves to go on to a full series.
