Does anyone here remember this 1984 comedy series with Barry Cryer, Anna Dawson, William Franklyn, Jimmy Mulville, Madeline Smith and Bob Todd, written by David Renwick and Andrew Marshall?

I've recently caught this series and can recommend it. Pure "Naked Gun" style goofish comedy, performed (and written) by very talented people.

This show was originally intended to be titled "What's On Next - The Playhouse" (as a theatre programme for a revue of 1982-3 in my possession mentions in relation to Anna Dawson). What is really sad is that none of the original "What's On Next?" shows of 1976-8 have ever been released on DVD. Do the original recordings still exist?

They can be found on YouTube and presumably that's where Hambledon Prods saw them from.

I remember Anna Dawson and Madeline Smith performing a burlesque routine which culminated in a glimpse of nipple. It made quite an impression on the pubescent Tursiops.
