I'm trying an experiment for a different kind of comedy night - where the audience participates in the night. Details below:

No idea if it will work - but I just love the idea of a well known and respected comic (in this case Joe Bor) - teaching the audience how to write funnies & letting them have a go!

So it worked out really well. Joe did 40 mins of showing clips & starting points for coming up with one liners, followed by 40 mins of the audience writing some lines and then getting up and performing them.

I wasn't sure if getting the audience to come up and perform material would work but it does... really well actually. What doesn't work though is taking funny lines & trying to work out why they're funny. Best to go the other way and generate material which is funny.
