Comics' Comic Award 2020 voting open

Voting is open for Comics' Comic Award, the awards decided by "jobbing comedians" who perform on the circuit.
Only comedians can vote in the awards, with the definition being "somebody that makes their living or most of it from comedy".
The categories are:
- Best Comic (can't be won by previous winners)
- Best MC (can't be won by previous winners)
- Best Independent Promoter
Plus, Outstanding Achievement To UK Comedy. This year, the options in this category are:
- The Comedians Benevolent Fund
- Covid Arms
- Kevin McCarthy (AKA The Man With The Beard)
Email your votes to comicscomicaward@gmail.com
Voting closes on Sunday 20th December.
The awards were founded in 2013 by John Moloney as an alternative to various other prizes, which he felt "did not recognise professional comedians who work the circuit year in, year out."
The organisers say: "Although this has been a year like no other and live work decimated, the comedy industry has tried its best to keep comedy alive via Zoom gigs, podcasts, drive-in shows, street and garden gigs, and venue gigs with tiny audiences. So we've decided to run the awards this year and give a much needed morale boost to this fantastic industry."
Previous winners include Mick Ferry, Gavin Webster, Zoe Lyons, Jeff Innocent, Ian Stone, Andy Askins and The Raymond & Mr Timpkins Revue.
