I saw a lead story on Popbitch last month - always a promising start - about London's 99 Club banning heckling, which the muckrakey mailout suggested was ongoing fallout from an infamous comedy incident. The 99 did a stern pre-gig warning then threw someone out pretty sharpish, apparently, a few weeks after a bloke watching Peter Kay at Manchester's AO Arena repeatedly shouted "garlic bread!" and was then "treated like a terrorist" (his words).
