A panel event on Thursday 23rd May in which Amrou Al-Kadhi, Sikisa Bostwick-Barnes and Jet Vevers are in conversation with comedy producer Lee Griffiths. The topic is breaking into the comedy industry.
On Thursday 23rd May, Soho Theatre will be running a panel event at Lea Bridge Library in Walthamstow.
The 60 minute panel will run at 3:30pm and also 5:30pm - two chances to see it.
Gain insight from industry professionals on how to break into different areas of comedy and drag, be it as performer or behind the scenes as a producer or director. Drag performer Amrou Al-Kadhi, stand-up Sikisa Bostwick-Barnes and Soho Theatre programmer Jet Vevers will be in conversation with comedy producer Lee Griffiths.
Key talking points will include the process of becoming a comedy producer, drag and comedy writing and directing, getting an agent, and building a drag or comedy hour. The organisers say: "We hope the event will demystify parts of the industry that are difficult to find ways into, through a panel discussion from industry leaders followed by a Q&A".
