After a mini-hiatus, Short Com will be making it's return in 2019 in Edinburgh in August. It is looking for the funniest short films and sketches to showcase.
The popular short comedy film festival Short Com is making its return after a mini-hiatus.
Short Com prides itself on curating the funniest short films by emerging filmmaking talent from around the globe and it is on a mission to find the funniest short films in 2019. The festival will return to the Edinburgh Cameo Cinema on 12th August (during the Edinburgh Festivals).
Creative Director and founder Chris Aitken states that he is looking forward to bringing back the programme with a long term goal to make it a festival to include feature films and TV pilots as well as industry led programmes to help bring emerging off screen and off screen talent together.

Reward
Festival Formula and Final Draft are offering prizes. There's a chance to win $500 US for the funniest film.
Selection process
Films must be no older than March 2018, and the final deadline is 1st June.
The organisers say: "We operate that the shorter the film the better, it's easier to programme a shorter film than one that is longer. Although our 'Vision' programme strand does look toward films that demonstrate a sense of narrative and directorial flair."
