If we all abandoned our scripts the second things got a little difficult, nothing would ever get written.

Writing scripts is meant to be hard. You are meant, at times, to get stuck. All writers have good days and bad days. It's normal, on occasion, to not be feeling it.

It can be hard, therefore, to distinguish between an "off day" and a project that is fundamentally flawed.
