The show is based on Chris's adventures as a Scottish kid moving to America with dreams of becoming a pro basketball player in 1999.
The storyline reminded me (Pearse) immediately of the 90s comedy Fresh Prince of Bel Air in the theme, so the style of the poster played off that, using very 90s-heavy graphics and colour palette. The graphics frame an excellent portrait shot by Andrew Jackson (Curse These Eyes), displaying Chris's natural physical humour.
