Write for satirical comedy website NewsBiscuit.
Satirical news website NewsBiscuit, founded by John O'Farrell, has been running since September 2006. The website is looking to recruit new writers.
They explain: "What we are looking for first and foremost is spoof news stories. If you can find a satirical, funny and original angle on a topical news story, then you are in business (FAQs). But we also publish plenty of non-topical stories based on observational comedy, cartoons or a funny take on social and lifestyle trends. Anyone can submit material in our writer's room and discuss their ideas.
"Our Editorial staff will publish the best material of the day on our website, so there are plenty of opportunities to refine your work. NewsBiscuit is a great platform to get your material seen, and in the last few years we have published books and run our own comedy podcast. Many of our contributors have gone on to work for primetime TV shows, become authors themselves or written for movies/theatre.
