Tim ReidHello! My name is Tim Reid and I'm the co-writer of BAFTA winning sitcom Peter Kay's Car Share, and the multi-award winning UKTV hit Meet The Richardsons. My 2 x 2 hour online zoom workshop is for anyone looking to try their hand at comedy writing, hone their comedy writing skills, or just want to add more humour to their communication.
We’ll cover the core ingredients of comedy, what makes us laugh and why, how to have funny ideas and build them beautifully with words.
You’ll learn how to add your own funny flavours to your writing using tools and techniques that will allow your own unique comedy voice to sing.
Plus I'll will share tips and tricks to help you take your first steps into the comedy industry and get your writing out into the real world.
By the end of this workshop you will have a greater understanding of how humour works and how to use it make your writing funnier. You'll leave with a range of tools at your fingertips that will give you the confidence and know how to make all of your writing, from socials media posts to full-blown novels, funnier.
The sessions will run from 7pm to 9pm UK time, with part one on Tuesday 30th September and part two on Wednesday 1st October.
