Birthday card caption competition

Brainbox Candy, a retailer of funny greeting cards and novelty gifts, is running a caption competition that may be of interest to comedy writers.

The company is currently inviting people to submit a caption which would complete the following sentence:

"I love it when it's your birthday because..."

The winning entry, as determined by judges at the company, will be turned into a real life greetings card. Brainbox Candy will then aim to sell the card to retail outlets around the country.

Aside from the pride of having been judged as creating the best caption, the winner will receive 10% of the sales royalties their card makes. As an additional bonus, the company adds: "Lastly you'll receive a conference call from us all applauding and whooping (apart from Jean as she doesn't do celebrating)."

The deadline to enter is Monday 31st March 2014.
