Guide Spotlight
Guide Spotlight Hugh And I

Think you know the work of David Croft? Dad's Army, 'Allo 'Allo!, Are You Being Served?, Hi-De-Hi!... right? You're only half way there. Whilst rightfully celebrated for that wealth of shows he co-wrote, Croft was a prolific producer of the work of others. The sparkling, newly-released chunk of comedy gold that is Hugh And I is one such title, featuring many sparkling roles for those who would later star in those great shows; not to mention the hugely successful pairing of Terry Scott and Hugh Lloyd. Despite running for 7 series, it's now an overlooked gem and missing link in British TV sitcom. Anyone with an interest in the history of sitcom - or just really good comedy - should order the new 3-disc box set straight away. Guide
