Alan Carr hosts his very own entertainment chat show, packed with topical chat and comic news. Each week the comic is joined by three celebrity guests who settle down for a natter.

Alan's guests are a mix of comedians, pop stars and TV stars. Big name comedians who have appeared on his sofa include Ricky Gervais, Jimmy Carr, Jonathan Ross, Dawn French, Jack Dee, Simon Pegg, Noel Fielding, Michael McIntyre, David Walliams, Frankie Boyle, Miranda Hart and Russell Brand.

Our Review: At first we really weren't sure about this show, however Chatty Man soon found its feet and has has now established itself as one of Channel 4's biggest and most popular entertainment offerings. It seems to be swiftly re-commissioned for another series as soon as the previous one ends.

As with most chat programmes, Chatty Man is often just a platform for guests to plug their latest project, but the host does largely manage to keep things entertaining and interesting despite this. The show is probably best when there's an American star on: much like Graham Norton on the BBC, Alan's friendly, informal and gentle approach to interviewing allows him to ask the odd cheeky question to people like Miley Cyrus and Rihanna that a more serious host certainly wouldn't get away with.

Chatty Man is certainly going to be around for some time. Channel 4 have commissioned the show until as far ahead as 2014, with a further four series planned for 2012 and 2013.
