1. Absent Friends

A honeymoon skiing in Norway seems an ideal location for Bob and Thelma to start their married life, far away from Terry's influence. But you never can tell, especially when he is looking after the marital home and has his eye on Susan, Thelma's sister.
2. Heart To Heart

Bob returns home from his honeymoon with a broken leg after falling down the aircraft steps! When Terry comes round and starts being even moodier than usual and starts asking deep and meaningful questions about life, it can only mean one thing... he's in love!
3. The Ant And The Grasshopper

Bob's swamped with the chores of married life and a hectic work life, while Terry idles away his time playing billiards or going to the pictures. When Terry predicts a future of ulcers and heart-attacks for him, Bob wonders who has taken the right path to happiness...
4. One For The Road

Bob is pulled over by the police and breathalysed after a meal with Thelma. He protests his innocence but the only one around to hear his protests is Terry, who's in the cells for violent behaviour at a football match. Bob can't afford to lose his licence so Terry comes up with a plan ...
5. The Great Race

Terry and Bob challenge each other to a cross-country cycle race, but they have failed to take into account the passage of time since they last tried it and sneaky tactics have to be employed by both of them.
6. Some Day We'll Laugh About This

When Bob and Thelma go away for a weekend of skiing, Bob leave Terry in charge of their new home with a list of DIY jobs to complete! Thelma is unaware of the plan until her mother catches Terry at the house and her news puts a damper on the holiday.
7. In Harm's Way

Bob is once again in plaster after putting his foot through the ceiling during Terry's DIY adventure. He feels he'll be safe from Terry's influence in the Out Patients department at the hospital. But who is that strange masked character who keeps aggravating his strained ligaments?
8. Affairs And Relations

Bob has joined Terry on a weekend's fishing and is racked by guilt that he has left Thelma behind. When Thelma's father unexpectedly books into the same hotel with his secretary it seems the weekend couldn't get worse .. until Thelma turns up as well to sort things out with Bob!
9. The Expert
Tuesday 26th February 1974
Bob and Thelma have had another argument and she has gone back to her mother. Bob turns to Terry for a shoulder to cry on and eventually agrees that he should stay calm and do nothing. But Bob is not a man to play it cool and is soon regretting his approach - especially when he can smell Thelma's cologne on Norman, his teddy bear.
10. Between Ourselves
Tuesday 5th March 1974
While Thelma is still at her mother's, Bob has not been eating. He is also regretting having Terry stay with him as he's messy, lazy and causing his neighbours to talk. Bob writes a letter to Thelma that Terry tries to deliver at the library but even that is doomed to failure it seems.
11. The Go-Between
Tuesday 12th March 1974
Terry's housekeeping and his wife's absence are starting to take their toll on Bob! Not only has Terry broken the toaster by putting chops in it but his fag ends are in the plant pots! Something has to give so Terry decides to pay Thelma a visit to try and persuade her to return to Bob.
12. Conduct Unbecoming

Terry has got involved in a ruck with a local hard man, Scaife, and is up before the magistrate. The next evening he is determined to finish the matter but, instead, calls a truce over a pint and a fag - but nobody has told Bob and his comments make for more hostility ...
13. The Shape Of Things To Come
Tuesday 26th March 1974
With the death of notorious Uncle Jacob, the Collier family gather to pay their last respects. Terry has time to reflect on his own future but Bob is shocked when Mrs Collier's description of the deceased seems a little too close to home.
