Louise has to think about getting a job. Gaz opens a car boot, only to find Jonny and Kate having sex in there as they can't find anywhere else to go. Gaz offers his flat as Donna's at college.

Donna's struggling with an essay on The Bell Jar and trying to meet the word count. She tells Janet that Jonny and Kate are happy, prompting Janet to look to the lonely hearts ads. Jonny and Kate discover a mutual love for biscuits - Jonny thinks Kate is perfect.

Janet picks ad box number 84Q from the paper and arranges a date for that night. Louise is mocked by the officer at the Job Centre for applying to be Head of Finance for ICI.

Gaz feels lonely and asks Norma at The Archer for a nestle on her bosom. Mutton Woman overhears and gives Gaz the come-on. Janet arrives for her date. Gaz approves of her 'no knickers' approach but scoffs at her for the choice of venue.

Donna finds Jonny and Kate on her bed. Kate helps with the essay and they go to the pub to celebrate. Jonny learns Janet's on a date and tells Kate he loves her.

Louise finds Gaz and Janet looking sheepish and, when Janet confesses they've had sex, she laughs, thanking them for cheering her up. She finds Donna at the pub, saying Gaz is at Janet's. Donna phones and Gaz's mobile rings out on Janet's table - they're upstairs...
