Series 4, Episode 12 - Community Spirit

This time Tudur's celebrating our community spirit. It's a journey into a world of jalopy racing, bucking broncos and local heroes, full of lively characters from the nation's TV past.

Further details

Tudur explores the rich tapestry of different communities across Wales.

The amateur dramatic society in Conwy are putting on a pantomime at the Civic Hall and require a showstopping finale to finish their production. A writer and composer are brought in to put together the final number. It needs to represent some of the characters in the panto, plus the fact that it has a happy ending. How will the finished composition go down with the group?

One Llanwrtyd Wells resident found that littering around his hometown was spoiling his enjoyment of the area, so he decided to do something about it. Each day he would go out with a litter picker and a black bag, cleaning any litter off the streets as he walked around town, which led to him gaining the nickname 'Rob The Rubbish'. Not content with just helping out his community, he even decided to climb Ben Nevis to help remove any rubbish left there, and has plans to return at least twice a year.

Other archive clips include a charity jalopy race in Swansea and a parade of jazz bands marching through their local village carnivals.
