1. Episode One

First broadcast: Sunday 30th September 1979

Following the death of her husband, Audrey fforbes-Hamilton discovers that their large country estate is almost bankrupt, and is told that she has no option other than to sell up.


2. Episode Two

First broadcast: Sunday 7th October 1979

As Mr DeVere - or rather, Mr Polouvicka - takes up residence in the manor, the Lodge also has a new owner. Richard's mother has met the seemingly reclusive resident, but he's yet to come across his new neighbour...


3. Episode Three

First broadcast: Sunday 14th October 1979

When Richard misses his first Sunday church service as owner of the manor, Audrey resolves to sort out his increasingly apparent shortcomings and force him to bring the estate up to scratch.


4. Episode Four

First broadcast: Sunday 21st October 1979

Audrey is shocked to see a perfectly good and very old fireplace thrown out by Richard, despite the fact that she never liked it herself. She's also more than a little agitated by the apparent unfairness of her new position in life...


5. Episode Five

First broadcast: Sunday 28th October 1979

The summer ball for the local hunt is coming up, but with the change in ownership at Grantleigh, there's some confusion over who should arrange the event of the season.


6. Episode Six

First broadcast: Sunday 4th November 1979

Frustrated at constant comments about her pasty appearance, Audrey sets off on holiday - or at least sets about creating the appearance of one, whilst relaxing under a sun lamp in the Lodge!


7. Episode Seven

First broadcast: Sunday 11th November 1979

Money's tight at the Lodge, and Audrey's faced with red bills and cut-off services. Mr DeVere, meanwhile, has landed a role in a television advert to be filmed at the manor.


Christmas Special

First broadcast: Tuesday 25th December 1979

It's Audrey's first Christmas outside of Grantleigh, and Mrs fforbes-Hamilton is feeling rather hard-done-by with DeVere having inherited most of her traditional festive duties.
