It's Laurence's first day and his heavy anxiety is giving him nightmares. He still has the shame of his failed finals, due to the tension pnenumothorax procedure he messed up in his practical exam.

When he gets his first patient Mr Copperfiled, a coffee salesman, he becomes convinced that he will need the operation that he previously failed on, and it's not long before this obsession makes him a laughing stock among the rest of the staff.
