A highly intelligent and funny man, Russell Harty became a household name in the 70s and 80s not just for battling the disgruntled Grace Jones but for pioneering a new way of interviewing which brought to our screens some very revealing interviews.
He juggled a celebrity life in London with a deep rooted love of his Yorkshire home. Friends and family from both parts of his life recall a true one off. Contributors include Janet Street Porter and Michael Parkinson.
