Is that the sound of a whip cracking in the darkness? Welcome back to Royston Vasey. Papa Lazarou brings his Pandemonium Carnival to town and discovers that the locals are even stranger than he is. But so begins his quest for wives to add to his collection.
Restart officer Pauline has been sacked from her job at the Job Centre following an undercover investigation by Ross, and turns up as a job seeker to face her replacement, the formidable Cathy Carter-Smith.
Meanwhile, Harvey Denton's new pet toad seems to have mysterious powers.
