Further details

Margot and Jerry are enjoying a day of golf when Tom emerges from the bushes. He has been scavenging for nettles but is evasive as to why.
Later that day Margot and Jerry spot Barbara arriving home on the rotary cultivator with a pile of sheep fleeces that the Goods have received as payment for a few days of labour but like Tom offers few details as to why they requested them.

Back at the Good house Tom and Barbara have turned their kitchen into a cottage industry and are making cloth and dying it green with the nettles. Margot appears at the door bubbling over with curiosity and Barbara fills her in on the details. The Goods give Margot the tour showing her each process that turns their white wool into green cloth. They then walk next door into the sitting room where the lomb is set up. Margot is thrilled by the demonstration that Barbara gives her. Just then Jerry arrives. He declines a tour and announces that it looks like Sir is about to step down and that he and two colleagues, as well as spouses, have been invited to dinner. They all discuss Jerry's competition and then what they will both wear. Jerry turns down the Good's offer of a woven suit for the occasion!

When nettle soup doesn't pan out the Goods sit down to have the chicken, formally known as Olivia, for dinner. As they are getting the table prepared, the Leadbetters turn up looking like movie stars in preparation for their big dinner. Tom and Barbara wish them good luck and send them on their way.

The group sit around the table as Sir breaks the news that he is to step down at the end of the month. The three candidates try to out do each other with praise and platitudes for Sir with Jerry definately coming out on top. As Sir asks them individually what they would do if they were chosen, the question falls on Jerry. He offers some words about the future and expansion and as he searches for his written proposal in his pocket, he can't find it! He stalls by moving the question on to the third candidate just as a note is brought to him by a waiter. He dashes out to find the Goods standing in the foyer wearing macks holding his proposal! As they make to leave Sir walks out and gets emotional as he believes they have come to wish him happy retirement. They are dragged next door for a drink with Sir telling the guests around the table the story of Tom leaving the company for self-sufficiency and how he admired his will. Sir shocks Jerry by saying that if Tom were still at the company he would probably get the job. He talks about the importance of people having their own style and asks Tom to take off his coat. He duly obliges revealing the lime green woven suit beneath!
