A joke from The Crystal Cube got reused in A Bit of Fry and Laurie. The joke in question is Harris Edgley-Woad, a fictional early genetics pioneer was said to have been born in a working class home that his parents had built for him in the grounds of their Gloucestershire estate. The joke got changed in A Bit of Fry and Laurie, but instead it was Hugh Laurie that was born in the house.
