The Army Game - Volume Two
A colossal success in its day, The Army Game features the humorous shenanigans of a mismatched bunch of National Service conscripts assigned to the Surplus Ordnance Department at Nether Hopping. The series - which ran for 154 episodes over five years - features the talents of William Hartnell, Bill Fraser, Alfie Bass, Charles Hawtrey, Bernard Bresslaw and Dick Emery. After the first episode in June 1957, the show rapidly became a national phenomenon.
This second volume contains the remainder of the surviving episodes, along with the Christmas Panto "Bootserella" from the 1960 variety show Chelsea At 9 and an episode of The Army Game spin-off Bootsie And Snudge.
First released: Monday 14th August 2006
If ordering from a UK store, please note that you are in Region 1 (DVD)/Region A (Blu-ray), whilst the UK is in Region 2/B, respectively. This means that many - but by no means all - may fail to play. Look for products marked "Region free", "All regions", "Region 0" or "Multi-region". Blu-rays may also be marked "Region A/B/C", or variations thereof. You may also check whether your DVD/Blu-ray player supports multi-region playback (also referred to as "region free"), or whether it can be set to do so. There should, of course, be no problems with books, CDs, or other physical items.
