Meet Lola and Ruby, two Scottish 30-year-old women who should know better, living the lives you would expect of 18-year-old fuck boys. This is the poor girls Ab Fab for the millennial generation.

Their flat in Glasgow - a safe haven from responsibility and expectations of the outside world and a place for them to be their true, yet unconventional, selves. Their relationship - unfiltered and unpolished, an example of everything true platonic soulmates can be.

While everyone else their age seems to be getting houses, promotions and knocked up, Lola and Ruby are beholden to no one but each other. Family, peers, and society be damned, they refuse to be tied down to life-altering decisions they are not fundamentally ready to make. To these two, nothing is more important than autonomy, and so they champion each other's decisions to live a shame-free, sex-positive, and outright happy life, which can be so much harder than it sounds.

Living in a tenement in Glasgow comes with its own vibrant community and while Lola and Ruby may not have found their place in the wider world yet, they know they've found their place in this building. For them - for now - that's enough. If only millennial culture would stop trying to force them to 'glow-up'.
