Tessa Peake-Jones from Only Fools & Horses starred in this 1992-94 sitcom. It was about a family that move into a house haunted by a stereotypically-written, middle-aged Jewish mother (think Maureen "You got an 'ology!" Lipman in the BT ads). This BBC series was as ludicrous as it sounded but nowhere near as funny.
