Full synopsis

So Awkward. Martha Fitzgerald (Sophia Dall'Aglio). Copyright: Channel X North.

Martha is mortified when she gets a lowly A minus for her latest history assignment, the equivalent of a fail for Martha!

She decides to frantically swot, but is so exhausted her grades threaten to slip even further.

Worried about their friend, who keeps fainting all over the place through exhaustion, Jas and Lily go to see head teacher Mrs Griggs.

Mrs Griggs decides that what Martha needs is to learn to lighten up and have fun and she assigns Matt Furnish as Martha's 'funness' tutor. Initially grumpy at the prospect, Martha surprises herself by actually beginning to enjoy the experience, especially when she realises she can combine the fun with science and adapt the hand-dryers in the loos to emit talcum powder, with spectacular results!

Whilst Matt helps Martha learn to have fun, she in turn tutors Matt to achieve his best academic grade ever.

Meanwhile Lily is jealous that Matt is hanging out with Martha and Ollie is jealous that Martha is spending so much time with Matt.

Jas helps Lily come up with a plan to get closer to Matt - it involves Lily and Matt collecting money for a 'Save the Donkeys' charity dressed up together in a donkey twosie!
