Brace yourselves as America's favourite Jewish mothers arrive on Sky Atlantic HD.
Ronna & Beverly are lifelong friends (not counting the two years they didn't speak) and outspoken, 50-something divorcees. Having conquered America, they are now set to arrive on UK shores armed with their unique brand of no-nonsense wisdom and, mostly unwanted, advice for some of our much-loved celebs in their outrageous chat show, executive produced by Bridesmaids director Paul Feig.
Played by 30-something American writer-performers Jessica Chaffin and Jamie Denbo, whose illustrious credits include Entourage, Curb Your Enthusiasm and Sex And The City, Ronna & Beverly are a cult hit stateside. Following a series of critically-acclaimed stage shows across the US and UK, the duo have become a well-loved live act thanks to a combination of outrageously funny celebrity interviews and beautifully observed comic performances, with The Guardian commenting: "The clucking, bullying, bickering characters are irresistible".
As well as grilling their guests on affairs of the heart and a variety of their wonderfully intrusive subjects, the pair also offer advice to members of the studio audience, often referring to their book for divorcees, You'll Do a Little Better Next Time, as a source of information.
Executive Producer, Paul Feig (director of the hit film Bridesmaids) said: "I've been a huge fan of Jamie and Jessica for years and am thrilled Sky Atlantic HD has allowed us to unleash Ronna & Beverly over their airwaves. It's all part of my evil plan to export more funny women to the world."
