TV sitcom based around a black step-family, written by Kwame Kwei-Armah.

Like many families in the 21st century, the Roberts have their fair share of complications. Erica 11, and Javone 16, live with their dad Chris (Eastenders' Don Gilet) and their stepmum Amy (Nina Sosanya). They also live with their little stepbrother Kwaku 6, and their step granny Amanda (Jan Francis, Just Good Friends). Erica and Javone also stay with Chris' ex wife, their real Mum, who lives just over the road. And then there is Chris's brother Errol (Robbie Gee) who lives nearby too.

As we all know, extended step families have lots of frictions and ups and downs, and the Roberts family is no exception. With a fine old mix of class, roots, generation and culture, things can get a little spicy to say the least.

Produced by Hartswood Films.
