Rich Tea & Sympathy - The Complete Series

This early 1990s sitcom follows the trials and tribulations of two Yorkshire families. The series revolves around the relationship between a Labour-voting divorcee and a Tory widower.

Following on from his phenomenal success with A Bit Of A Do, creator David Nobbs (The Fall And Rise Of Reginald Perrin) brought this enduring classic comedy drama to the small screen.

When Labour-voting single mother Julia Merrygrove (Patricia Hodge) bumps trolleys at the supermarket, it leads to the start of a relationship with pro-Tory widower and biscuit manufacturer George Rudge (Denis Quilley). Their opposing lifestyles and political views cause endless clashes which are exacerbated by their demanding, self-serving families.
