Further details
When newbie hospital porter Simon arrives for work on his first day, he stands out like a sore thumb. Because to the great amusement of his mentors Frankie and Tillman, he thinks portering is just a stepping-stone to his true calling in life - being a doctor.
However, a mix-up with a dead Rabbi means Simon is forced to impersonate a real doctor and somehow escape the suspicious scrutiny of a visiting consultant neurologist.

Preview - Porters
This dark, hospital based sitcom from Dave has already attracted some big names too it. It's not that many brand new British sitcoms that can claim to feature Frasier's Kelsey Grammer in a cameo appearance.
Ian Wolf, On The Box, 20th September 2017This new sitcom comes from the brainpan of Dan Sefton, the medic turned writer behind BBC1's recent drama Trust Me, and features yet another character so desperate to be a doctor they will do pretty much anything. Ed Easton is the nervous new hospital porter who dreams of wielding a stethoscope, while his eccentric co-workers include Crazyhead's Susan Wokoma and former replicant Rutger Hauer. Kelsey Grammer also pops up for an irate cameo.
Graeme Virtue, The Guardian, 20th September 2017Porters: preview
Dave has only dipped its toe in the water with a commission of three episodes, but the results from this test are back - and the prognosis for Porters is definitely good.
Steve Bennett, Chortle, 20th September 2017Susan Wokoma: The door shuts firmly on us a lot quicker
She was a demon hunter, stole scenes as Michaela Coel's sister and is in a farce about Labour's identity crisis. But Susan Wokoma is turning to her own family to write her next roles.
